- Determine job requirements
- Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
- Select and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
- Identify job requirements from specifications, job sheets or work instructions
- Establish servicing requirements and liaise with customer
- Prepare written and verbal quotations
- Confirm customer agreement on recommended service procedures to remedy faults
- Record and document repair process
- Open and close watch cases
- Select and use appropriate workshop tools and equipment
- Inspect parts and report and record results
- Verify gasket condition and replace, as required
- Clean cases and bands during and after repair, as required
- Select and use appropriate workshop testing equipment
- Test quartz watch output signals using industry-specific equipment
- Assess mechanical condition, including freedom of gear train, as applicable
- Maintain testing equipment
- Analyse results and determine faults
- Carry out further testing to locate faulty components, as required
- Confirm results against manufacturer specifications
- Identify faults from test information
- Evaluate record and communicate recommended servicing requirements
